Coruscant: A Strike at the Shadows

*The crowded streets were familiar, but unwelcoming. Parting from the rest of the crew at the Sunset had been a non-event, Haro still angry because they had hired Kodo, and Kodo whistling happily to rub it in. Elan tugs uncomfortably at the hem of her silvery shirt, keeping her head down. She led Cran down further and further into the lower levels, the crowd growing thinner and thinner.*

Our target is a rather well off criminal. He should have plenty of credits on him.

*She pauses.*

I want to make this clear.

*She glances around the empty alleyway before locking eyes with him seriously.*

We will be killing him. You still have a chance to back out right now.

*Cran blinks*
"Ok"

*Elan grins.*

I knew I wouldn't regret asking you to back me up. I'll need to lure him out of the bar to somewhere more...suitable. Any suggestions?

*She reaches up, ensuring that her hood is pulled up properly.*

"If he is in a bar get him drunk and be a women"

*Elan rolls her eyes.*

I meant about where we should deal with him. I'm sure I can figure out how to get him to follow me.

*She shifts uncomfortably.*

"Well over there in one of dozens of dark seedy alleys"

*Elan huffs.*

No plan it is.

*She turns and makes her way into the bar. The low light and haze of smoke made her a bit more comfortable with lowering her hood. The loud music was punctuated by the boisterous laughter of the drunken patrons, and the flirtatious giggles of women. The floor was full of bodies, Twi'lek pressing themselves against the patrons suggestively.

She spots the target at a table near the back of the bar, a half-Theelin of 37. His blue-green skins was hard to miss. His raven hair was slicked back, showing two small horns on either side of his head. He eyed the two young women dancing nearby, a smirk on his face and he raised his glass.

Elan makes her way to the bar, keeping her eyes on the target. She orders a drink and walks purposefully to his table, stopping in front of him.*

Mind if I take a seat?

**Urukai**

*He looks up and down her figure and motions for her to take a seat*

Of course! What’ll you have sweetheart? *he motions to the bartender*

*Elan smiles brightly despite the anger blooming in her chest.*

Thank you, but my drink will be arriving shortly.

*She gestures to his glass.*

It seems you're the only one in here that can hold your alcohol.

**Urukai**

Me?!? Why of course I can, I’m the only man in the place. Which is why you came straight to me, am i right?

*He tries to put a arm around her*

*Elan shifted slightly in her seat, putting herself just out of reach, but facing him more fully. She leaned forward a bit, propping an elbow on the table.*

How about we put that to the test?

*She raises a brow, watching the Twi'lek approaching the table, the bottle she had requested in hand and waiting to see if he'd rise to the challenge.*

**Urukai**

What’s This Hogwash!?! *he snatches the bottle*

Looks like something a Gungan would drink with his Shrwarma! *He cracks open the bottle and proceeds to down the whole thing in one fail swoop.*

*Elan watches him down the bottle, cringing inwardly despite herself.*

That would be Kowakian Rum. A bit sweet, but it gets the job done.

*She smiles warmly at him.*

Mind if I ask your name?

**Urukai**

Me?! I’m Urukai, I run this bar and I run this town! What’s your name toots?

*The rum was starting to do its magic as he starts getting dizzy*

*She offers her hand with a smile that belied the nausea she felt.*

Sounds like you're rather important around here.

**Urukai**

*now the alcohol is taking full effect*

*he reaches for her hand*

*She shakes his hand gingerly.*

That's rather impressive, Urukai. It would seem I chose my company correctly.

*She looks slightly away, smiling shyly. She was starting to become slightly anxious, worried that someone may recognise her. She cocks her head to the side.*

And what is it that you and your...associates do?

**Urukai**

*He grabs her hand and squeezes firmly*

Anything you want honey.... why’s dontcha comes with me to my pllace and I’ll tell youuu all aboutcit....

*Elan smiles, glad he suggested leaving.*

That sounds wonderful! This place is awfully loud, and that would make it much easier to get to know each other a little better.

*She stands, fighting the urge to pull her hand away from him.

*She glances around quickly.*

Just let me tell my friend not to wait up on me.

*She grins at him before making her way back to the door. She glances back over her shoulder to see if Urukai is watching, but he's preoccupied with not falling over. She steps outside and gestures to Cran.*

*Cran gives a nod and moves around the corner*

*She steps back to the door, plastering a fake smile on her face as she walks back to Urukai's side. He is unsteady on his feet.*

I'm impressed. An entire bottle of Kowakian Rum would have most off of their feet for the rest of the night.

**Urukai**

All I do is impre....

*He stumbles against the wall of the alleyway. At this point he notices the Devaronian trailing them and reaches for his blaster*

What the hellll do you want?!?

*Cran lights a match and his upper have is consumed in flames as the hulking demon lumbers forword*
